This is my first attempt at writing a novel in a month.  I have the outline of several pieces of writing, and then procrastination comes to call and I think, what the hell, I’ll work on it another day.  I’m hoping that this way I will get from begining to end with or without any inhibitions coming into play.

Already I daren’t begin until I have located my nearest buddy, or understood the nuances of the nanowrimo website but as the first of November draws nearer I am nervous about ‘begining’.  I am looking forward to writing, writing, writing but will the right words come, will the story unfold and will I have the discipline to see it throgh?  Time alone will tell.  One month, and one chance, to join thousands of people around the world all bashing out their own stories.

Then the gung ho Wendy kicks in and thinks, what have you got to lose?  Nothing.  What have you got to gain, thousands of words.  And what do I love more than life itself, words!
